The crown of the tooth is covered with enamel, the hardest substance in our body. Beneath the crown is dentin, which is sensitive, unlike enamel, which is completely insensitive, so a tooth affected by caries is painful and sensitive to thermal stimuli. Beneath the dentin is the dental pulp (plumb) in which blood vessels and nerves are located. The pulp is extremely sensitive to external stimuli.

The attachment system of the tooth (periodontal)

The periodontium is formed by tissues that provide support for the teeth by strengthening them in the bone compartments (alveoli). It consists of the gums (gingiva), the outer side of the tooth root, on whose surface the cementum of the tooth is located, and of elastic fibers and the bone (alveoli) in which the tooth is embedded. The tooth is attached to the bone by a system of numerous, differently arranged periodontal fibers. The space between the tooth and the inner surface of the free gingiva at the tooth neck is the most sensitive area and is called the dental groove or gingival sulcus.

Permanent teeth

Look at your teeth in the mirror. Can you distinguish between the individual groups of teeth? Most people would answer no to these questions.

We call the teeth of an adult permanent teeth. A complete set of teeth has a total of 32 teeth, 16 in the lower jaw and 16 in the upper jaw. If we divide the face in half, into left and right sides, there will be eight teeth in each jaw, two incisors, two canines, two premolars and three molars. The third molar is also called the wisdom tooth (wisdom tooth) because it grows until the age of 30.

["post-656","vise-o-zubima","type-vise-o-zubima","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
